King Kent
August 29th, 2009 · 4 Comments

The “Season from Hell” came to a fitting close last Monday when Kent Lorence (in blue shirt) staked out in the championship round with no one even close to challenging except the formidable Josh Mergler. Great game Kent.
An unnamed participant ruined Kent’s shining moment of victory by relentlessly ranting and physically threatening the champion over some silly little nonsense. Said incident put such a dark cloud over the final proceedings that we don’t even have the obligatory trophy clutching shot. Oooops. Congratulations Kent.

Final Monday of 2009
August 18th, 2009 · No Comments
Tony Billoni closed out the 2009 regular season the way he started it, with a tour win. The win was significant in that finished the season ahead of Strada by single point, and picked up a bonus point in the playoffs by being ranked 3rd in the “Lorence” Division.
The only other players who got moved around on the final night:
Bob Gannon only got 2 points on the night, but it was enough to break his tie with an absentee Rob Price, putting Gannon into the “Lorence” Division and sending Price to the “Amorosi” Division.
Carl Amorosi seemed a shoe-in for his 4th consecutive win, but was unable to show in the Tour Game. Along with Gannon being held to 2 points, another heavy weight, Kent Lorence took only 1 point.
Thus it was, heading into the 2009 playoffs, Sunday Aug. 23rd @ 4pm.

who stays too long him who wishes fishes finish first to meet that puny point of third could slide in mud or tote that barge if time permits or courage spits the long shot spin then bounces in against the odds of winks and nods and thumbs or slices of the throat.
